Dear Brothers and Sisters
In order to clarify the notice sent out to the membership by Secretary-Treasurer Hayden, the dates of the election are subject to postponement. The notice was sent out in order to comply with the notification requirement contained in our by-laws. At this point we are still in the process of correcting and clarifying the City's final offer and will not move forward until we have made sure that the final document contains all the items that were addressed during negotiations and mediation.
We are in the process of scheduling a meeting with the City for Monday or Tuesday of next week and hope to have some information in time for the membership meetings next week.
I hope that this clarifies the confusion caused by the notice. Please feel free to contact any Executive Board member if you have any questions.
