Joe Alexander, of Alexander Financial Management, will be in town next week to meet with members of Local 51. Any member thinking about retirement should contact Joe to schedule an appointment. He will be here Tuesday night, and will be available all day Wednesday and Thursday. He will also stay until Friday if need be. Joe has already helped many of our members. City Hall will be hosting a pre-retirement planning course on June 8, at 1:00 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. Anyone considering retiring this year or in the near future should make an effort to attend. There will be presentations from the Fire and Police Pension, Social Security, Insurance and Benefits, and Deferred Compensation. Questions and answer session will follow each presentation. A lot of information will be covered so be prepared to take notes and ask questions. To register send an email to - Organizational Development - and include your name, department, and peoplesoft ID.
