Fire Fighter/ Paramedic Raul Montoya is a 16 year veteran for the El Paso Fire Department. On March 2018, Raul sought medical attention for gastrointestinal pains.   On September 6, 2018, he was diagnosed with Colo-Rectal cancer.  He is scheduled to initiate radiation therapy on September 17th in attempts to reduce the size of the malignant tumor.  Surgery and chemotherapy administration will be determined on the success of the radiation therapy.  Raul's battle with this disease is just getting started.  Having experienced a similar situation, I know this can be a taxing, long journey full of uncertainties and emotional distress.

I am asking for your help in easing some of the financial burden he and his family will have with medical expenses during this time. Historically, the El Paso Fire Department has always pulled through to help one of our own during difficult circumstances.  I ask we come together once more in support of our brother Raul.
