Once Again El Paso Fire Fighters win the Battle of the Badges. On Tuesday, January 5th at high noon three El Paso Fire Fighters went head to head with three El Paso Police Office in a Whataburger Jalapeño eating contest. The challenge was to see who would be first to finish 12 jalapeños, of course all this for charity. The El Paso Fire Fighters were playing for Muscular Dystrophy Association and the police were playing for the Child Crisis Center. Representing the Fire Fighters were Sergio Cardenas, Frank Perry and Kevin Brown. The challenge was witnessed by a full house at the Transmountain West Whataburger eagerly cheering on the participants. Kevin Brown voted MVP won the challenge by not only eating his twelve jalapeños, but in the spirit of Fire Fighter Teamwork assisted his teammates by eating three more. The true winners were the MDA charity which received a check for $750.00 and the Child Crisis Center receiving $250.00 thanks to all who made this event a success.
